A vintage theatre stage spotlight, of the type commonly referred to as a ‘Par Can’, which has been converted for use as a floor-standing lamp. The cylindrical housing is constructed from spun aluminium and is mounted within a steel U-shaped yoke, adjustable via a black plastic side knob. Four angled steel feet have been added to the base to allow the unit to stand on the floor. A small white label is attached to the upper section of the body with black text reading ALTO and TOP, likely acting as a mounting orientation guide. The top of the unit is fitted with an external black plastic terminal block and a partial length of electrical cable.
