A substantial hand-blown art glass bowl of deep amethyst colour. The piece features a deep circular central well and a very wide, flat rim with a slightly upturned edge, characteristic of the hat bowl or charger form. The glass displays a rich, smoky purple hue that appears nearly black in thicker sections while remaining translucent. The piece is unsigned and displays no maker marks or stamps. The design is consistent with mid-20th-century glass production from European glasshouses.
