A 20th-century mahogany bachelor’s chest of drawers of rectangular form, designed in the George III style. The top surface is finished with a cross-banded border and features inlaid fan-style motifs at the corners. Directly below the top is a pull-out brushing slide, followed by four graduated long drawers. Each drawer is furnished with brass swan-neck bale handles and shaped escutcheons. The chest is fitted with brass carrying handles to the sides and is supported by traditional bracket feet. The construction consists of mahogany veneers applied over a secondary timber frame.
