A mid-century modern teak sideboard from the Fresco range produced by G Plan (E. Gomme Ltd) and attributed to designer Victor Wilkins. The unit is constructed with teak and teak veneers, featuring a bank of three drawers at the top. Each drawer is fitted with the signature recessed, contoured smile wooden handles characteristic of the Fresco range. Below the drawers are three cupboard doors with vertical, organically shaped teak pulls. The piece is built with a simple plinth base. This item is the lower section of a modular wall unit system, evidenced by the wooden supports and the base of an upper cabinet section resting on the top surface. A red and gold foil label featuring the G Plan logo is affixed to the interior surface of one door.
