A late 19th or early 20th century desktop collector’s cabinet constructed from mahogany. The cabinet features a side-hinged door opening to reveal four shallow, swinging internal trays. These trays are hinged on one side, allowing them to be fanned out for display purposes. The interior of the door and the base of each tray are lined with traditional green baize. Each tray front is fitted with two circular cast metal pulls decorated with a raised foliate rosette motif. The cabinet includes a brass lock with a decorative metal escutcheon on the door. The unit is assembled with brass hinges.
