A mid-20th century refectory-style dining table, resembling the Old Colonial range by Ercol. The piece features a solid elm top characterized by a broad and irregular grain pattern, finished with rounded corners and a bevelled edge. The top is secured to the supporting frame with visible circular wooden dowels. The table is supported by a pedestal trestle base comprising two shaped, solid-end uprights. These uprights are joined by a low-profile central stretcher, which is secured at either end with traditional exposed tusk tenons. The base is constructed of beech and the entire piece is finished in a medium-to-dark oak stain.
