A mid-20th-century swivel lounge chair, constructed from bent rattan and bamboo poles. The design features a curved, open-work back with vertical slats and integrated scrolled armrests, with components secured by decorative cane-wrapped joints. The chair body is mounted onto a circular, multi-layered base formed from stacked rattan rings. This base incorporates a swivel and tilt mechanism. A dark-stained wooden plate is visible at the centre of the seat structure where it connects to the swivel base. The design is in the style of Paul Frankl and follows principles seen in manufacture by Angraves of Thurmaston. The chair is designed to accommodate a separate seat cushion.
