A mid-20th-century secretaire cabinet of British origin, constructed from teak veneers over a secondary wood core. This single-piece unit is designed with three distinct sections. The upper section contains a display compartment with two clear sliding glass panels. The middle section comprises a fall-front desk which opens to reveal a fitted interior with multiple vertical stationery dividers and horizontal shelving. The fall-front is operated by internal metal stay hinges and features two patinated metal bow-shaped handles on the exterior. The lower section consists of a storage cupboard with two wooden sliding doors, each featuring a recessed vertical finger pull. The cabinet stands on four splayed and tapered wooden legs. No maker labels or stamps are present.
