A nineteenth-century mahogany side or work table, characteristic of the Regency or William IV period. The rectangular top features highly figured, book-matched mahogany veneers displaying a prominent flame or plum-pudding grain. The table is fitted with a single full-width frieze drawer with a contrasting dark wood front and two turned wooden knobs. The carcass is raised on four ring-turned and tapered legs. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps were observed on the exterior or accessible parts of the piece.
