A vintage high-back armchair of hourglass form, commonly referred to as a Mudda or Moora chair, in the Bohemian mid-century style. The chair is constructed from numerous vertically-aligned bamboo or reed stalks held in place by horizontal bands of natural fibre twine, cinched at the waist to create the flared base and backrest. The circular seat features concentric layers of woven rope or natural fibre cord. The top rim, armrests, seat edge, and base are finished with a dark brown, textured protective trim, likely leather or a heavy-duty synthetic material, featuring visible white contrast stitching.
