A Chinese-style dining suite, constructed from a dense hardwood with a prominent grain and a rich reddish-brown finish, comprising an extending rectangular dining table and a set of six matching side chairs. The table features a traditional frame-and-panel top construction, designed in the Ming style with a waisted apron. It is supplied with two additional extension leaves for adjustable length. The table stands on four cabriole-style legs that terminate in carved hoof feet. The set of six side chairs each features a yoke-shaped top rail in the Official’s Hat style, positioned over a plain, solid central splat and a panelled seat. The chairs are supported by similarly shaped legs with hoof feet, reinforced by perimeter stretchers for added stability.
