Description
A vintage soft golly doll of British manufacture, attributed to Salco. The figure is constructed from black fabric with a large black faux fur plush head of hair. Facial features are comprised of applied fabric, including circular white and black fixed eyes and a large red and white stitched mouth. The doll is dressed in an original ensemble featuring a red fabric tailcoat with two black buttons to the reverse and one on each cuff, a white fabric waistcoat with two black buttons, and yellow and black vertically striped trousers with a matching bow tie. A yellowed fabric safety tag is attached to the rear, referencing compliance with the 1980 Toys (Safety) Regulations.
