Description
A collection of approximately 22 glazed earthenware and porcelain cow-themed items, primarily comprising creamers, salt and pepper shakers, and decorative figurines. The assortment includes Delft-style pieces decorated with blue and white windmill and floral motifs. One creamer features a circular blue underglaze stamp on the underside depicting a crown symbol above the letters DBL, with the word HOLLAND curved around the base. A pair of salt and pepper shakers bears hand-painted blue marks on the underside reading Handpainted Delft blue Holland. The collection also features a variety of Channel Island souvenir ware, including tan-glazed figurines and creamers with transfer-printed text for JERSEY and GUERNSEY, some of which include graphics of a milkmaid. One figurine is depicted wearing a yellow coat with JERSEY printed in black. Other decorative elements include hand-painted floral sprays, a black-and-white spotted Friesian-style creamer, and a creamer with a transfer-printed landscape scene featuring a church or castle. The creamers are designed in the traditional form with a back opening and a mouth-spout. Figurines are presented in various standing and reclining poses.
