Description
A German-made banjo-style wall weather station manufactured by Feingerätebau K. Fischer GmbH. The instrument is housed in a dark-stained wooden case, possibly oak or beech, featuring a carved rosette motif to the terminal and a shaped pediment. The central aneroid barometer is set behind glass with a gold-toned circular dial. This dial displays dual scales for atmospheric pressure in hPa (960 to 1060) and mmHg (720 to 800), and is decorated with a central compass rose and weather indications in Czech: DEST, PROMENLIVO, and KRASNE. Located below the barometer is a circular hygrometer calibrated from 0 to 100 percent for relative humidity, marked NORMAL and % HYGRO. The upper section features an inset alcohol-filled glass tube thermometer with blue spirit, calibrated in Celsius ranging from -15 to +50 degrees. The dial is marked with a stylized lowercase f logo and MADE IN GERMANY.
