Description
A hand-blown glass bowl of circular, rounded form with thick walls. The glass is of a pale amethyst or smoky pink colour. The piece features a bullicante decoration consisting of a regular, controlled pattern of small trapped air bubbles throughout the body. The bowl has a smooth, rounded rim and a polished pontil mark at the centre of the base. The design is in the style of mid-20th century Murano glass, resembling works by Italian glasshouses such as Barovier and Toso or Seguso. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are present.
