Description
A decorative figure of a crowned Buddha, depicted in the Southeast Asian Jambupati style. The figure is shown seated in padmasana, also known as the lotus position, with hands resting in dhyana mudra or the meditation gesture. The iconography features a high, tiered monarchical crown, ornate necklaces, and robes with detailed borders, representing the Buddha’s sovereignty in Thai and Burmese traditions. The statue is mounted on a stepped, lotus-form base. The item is constructed from a moulded composite material or base metal, finished with a gilt-effect coating over a reddish-brown base layer. No marks, characters, or inscriptions are visible on the exterior surfaces of the item.
