Lot 231:
Description
A mid-20th century art glass vase of heavy, organic form. The vessel features six pulled lobes or fingers rising from a multi-lobed base to a flared, scalloped rim. The glass is a transparent teal or kingfisher blue colour. The construction is characteristic of mid-century art glass, specifically resembling the lobed designs produced by Whitefriars Glass (James Powell & Sons). No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the body or the base. The underside of the base features a central circular indentation.
