Description

Two framed items. The first is an oil on board by the British artist Kenneth Griffin (1927-2007), depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea. The composition is rendered in a mid-20th-century maritime style, featuring prominent textured brushwork and palette knife impasto. The work is signed and dated to the lower right K. A. GRIFFIN . 66. It is housed in a composite frame with a wood-effect outer border and a gilt-finished inner slip. The second item is a colour print on board after Canaletto, depicting a topographical view of Windsor Castle from the River Thames with figures in the foreground. The image is presented in an ornate gilt-finished frame with a beaded inner sight edge. A lot sticker numbered 0062 is visible beneath the second item.
