The subject is shown in three-quarter profile against a dark, atmospheric background, demonstrating the velvety tonal gradations characteristic of the mezzotint technique. The print features a clear rectangular plate mark. A publication line is visible in the lower-left margin, transcribed as Published 1902 by and London. The work is presented within a mount and a black-painted wooden frame.
