Lot 72:
Description
A mid-century modern low sideboard or credenza, dating to the 1960s, constructed with a teak-veneered body and standing on four ebonised tapered legs. The unit features an asymmetrical front layout comprising a single drawer to the far left, a narrow cupboard door fitted with a keyhole and a small round brass pull to the centre-left, and two side-by-side drawers to the right. The three drawers are fitted with curved, brass-toned drop handles. The cupboard door has a matching small circular pull and a simple escutcheon. The top surface is finished in a dark, ebonised tone. The design and hardware are consistent with the Tola and Black range produced by British manufacturers such as E. Gomme for G-Plan, though it remains unattributed in the absence of a label.
