Description
A mid-20th century display cabinet or bookcase of one-piece construction, featuring a teak-veneered case with a rectangular profile and rounded front edges. The unit is fitted with two sliding clear glass panels, each featuring recessed finger pulls. The interior is divided by a central vertical partition and contains two adjustable wooden shelves. The cabinet is raised on four splayed and tapered wooden legs, each finished with a small metal glide. The design reflects a Scandinavian influence common in British furniture of the 1960s, similar in style to pieces produced by manufacturers such as Herbert Gibbs or Nathan. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
