Description
An Indian bamboo mudda chair, characteristic of ethnographic furniture from the Nagaland region. The piece is constructed from natural bamboo poles featuring a waisted or hourglass-shaped base formed by tightly bound vertical segments. The high, slightly winged backrest is composed of horizontal bamboo rods lashed to the frame. It features a recessed, circular seat panel woven from natural fibre, likely jute or hemp. The outer edges of the backrest and seat are finished with a padded, dark brown leather or vinyl trim, secured with visible white stitching. No manufacturer marks, labels, or stamps are present on the item. A white adhesive lot sticker numbered 0035 is attached to the trim.
