Description
An early 20th-century work or sewing table constructed from dark-stained hardwood. The piece features a square, hinged solid wood top with a moulded edge that opens to reveal an internal storage compartment. The underside of the lid is upholstered with a padded and button-tufted golden satin-style lining, finished with decorative gimp trim. The interior storage well is lined with pleated fabric and contains a selection of vintage sewing notions, including Sewing Susan needles. The carcase is supported by four square tapering legs.
