Description
A mid-century modern coffee table dating from the 1960s or 1970s, featuring a dark-stained wood veneer with a walnut-toned finish. The rectangular top is constructed with book-matched figured veneers and a narrow inlaid border. The table is designed with two drop-leaf ends that can be raised to extend the total surface area. The structure is supported by four tapered circular legs which also secure a lower solid magazine shelf. No maker marks or labels are visible on the piece. The design is characteristic of British mid-century furniture manufacturers from this period.
