Description
A mid-century modern four-drawer chest manufactured by the British firm Harris Lebus. The piece is constructed with a teak-toned wood veneer, likely sapele or mahogany, over a secondary wood and plywood carcase. The drawer fronts feature a decorative book-matched chevron-patterned veneer detail on the left-hand side. The unit is supported by four black-finished tapered legs. Each drawer is fitted with two original silver-tone metal bridge-style pull handles. Internal construction includes machine-cut dovetail joints with light-coloured secondary wood sides and plywood bases. A manufacturer label is present on the interior of the top drawer, consisting of a hexagonal silver and gold-toned sticker featuring the Lebus trademark and the word Guaranteed in cursive script.
