Description
A mahogany Canterbury in the Regency style, featuring a four-division slatted top designed for the storage of magazines or sheet music. The divisions are separated by plain mahogany slats. The structure is supported by four turned corner posts, each topped with a spherical ball finial. The base contains a single full-width drawer fitted with two circular stamped brass rosette handles. The piece is raised on short turned legs that terminate in brass castors. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the exterior or within the drawer. While visually similar to examples produced by firms such as Brandt or the H. Herrmann Furniture Co., this item remains unattributed.
