Description
A George III style bow-front chest of drawers dating to the late 18th or early 19th century. The piece is constructed with mahogany veneers featuring flame graining to the drawer fronts, while the top and sides are solid mahogany. The drawer configuration consists of two short drawers over three long, graduated drawers. The chest is fitted with turned mahogany knobs and brass-lined escutcheons. It is supported by splayed bracket feet. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are present on the exterior surfaces. Internal drawer construction, including dovetailing and secondary woods, is not confirmed.
