Description
A mid-to-late 20th-century teak veneer wall unit or shelving system, characteristic of British domestic furniture from the 1970s and 1980s. The piece is constructed from wood-effect teak veneer over a manufactured wood core. The design is asymmetrical, featuring a multi-compartment open shelving section to the left and a two-door cupboard section to the right. The cupboard doors are finished with recessed rectangular panels, a style frequently associated with manufacturers such as Nathan. The vertical supports are joined at the base by a decorative arched apron. The interior of the shelving sections includes pre-drilled holes for adjustable shelf supports. This is a standalone unit designed in a modular style. No manufacturer marks or labels are present.
